Huggies Premmie Nappies Up to 3kg

Huggies Premmie nappies are purpose-built for premature and very small newborns, offering a fit and level of care that standard newborn nappies simply aren't designed for. Babies born early often need nappies well below typical newborn sizing, and Huggies Premmie nappies are made specifically to fit babies up to 3kg, filling a gap that many parents don't realise exists until they need it.

Designed for premature babies

Premature babies have unique physical needs in their first weeks, and this nappy is designed around them. A unique U-shaped 'umbilical cord' cut-out sits away from the healing umbilical stump, reducing irritation and helping avoid pressure on a sensitive area during a critical healing period. A waistband pocket at the back adds extra protection against leakage — a common frustration with standard nappies that aren't shaped for such a small frame. Huggies has also built in a wetness indicator that changes colour when wet, which is especially useful for parents (and NICU or SCN staff) needing to track a premature baby's feeding and output closely, without needing to open every nappy to check.

Sizing

Suitable for babies up to 3kg. If your baby is approaching or has passed 3kg, our Newborn nappies range is the next size up — see our Nappy Size Guide for a full breakdown by age and weight across all major brands.

What's in this bulk pack

This listing is a bulk pack of 6 packs of 30 (180 nappies total), designed for families who know they'll need consistent, reliable supply through the premmie stage without reordering every few days.

Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ'S)

When should I move to the next size up?

Once your baby approaches or passes this weight, our Newborn nappies range is the next size up, check our Nappy Size Guide to compare sizing across all major brands.

How does the fit compare with newborn nappies?

The smaller cut is designed to fit premature babies. The U-shaped umbilical cord cut-out and extra leak protection at the back are specifically designed for very small, fragile babies, features standard newborn nappies don't have.
